About Me - Professional Experience

You're in safe hands...

There is no substitute for experience when it comes to counselling: I have several years of professional counselling experience, helping people across Edinburgh and beyond by drawing on my proven expertise and qualifications.

Originally from Devon, I studied in Oxford in 1996, graduating with a Diploma in Sociology, followed by a degree in Social Studies from Newcastle University. After my degree, I established my career in Edinburgh as a support worker while going on to gain a Post-Graduate Certificate and Post-Graduate Diploma in counselling at the University Edinburgh.

Today, alongside practising as a qualified counsellor in Edinburgh, I continue my role as a support worker, helping people with acquired brain injuries and work as a counsellor for carers with VOCAL (Voice Of Carers Across Lothian).
